Another Year of Realized Potential: Congratulations, Class of 2024!
在我们的近11,000年毕业生, almost 800 are AlamoPROMISE scholars-area high school seniors who completed a certificate or degree program without the financial burden of tuition and other fees.
The semester is ending, and this is only the beginning for our Alamo 大学 graduates.
Six of our student graduates recently took part in a special edition of A Seat at the Table with Chancellor Dr. Mike Flores to share experiences they have gained while being 阿拉莫大学 students and their plans for the future.

Advice for students considering the 阿拉莫大学
Akouka: It’s intimidating at first, especially as a freshman student coming out of middle school. You’re going to take college classes and it’s definitely going to be hard and you have to find your groove and how you will do things. But after a while you’ll create bonds and friendships and everyone is super supportive at 东北湖景学院 and at Judson Early 大学 Academy.

How the 阿拉莫大学 has prepared our graduates for the future
Centeno: I think of the saying that it takes a large village to raise a child. I think it took a large community at 西北维斯塔学院 to push me to where I needed to be and where I am today. I think a lot of it came down to communication with my professors when I came across challenges…. I remember if I needed them they were beyond helpful.
Aviado: I think the support here at the 阿拉莫大学 is amazing. I have been to a couple of other community colleges in my life and it’s nothing like being here.
Carrington-Brannon: 我在上学的时候平衡了工作和生活. The bachelor’s program is pretty impressive and I definitely learned a lot of leadership skills in the program.
How AlamoPROMISE is positioning one student for higher education
Nerio: AlamoPROMISE has opened so many doors for me… Without it, it was going to be very difficult for me. I wouldn’t be able to work here… It has opened me up to new communities and allowed me to make friends that are also AlamoPROMISE students
